alzheimer is not amnesia people! my granma started thinking she lived in the house where she lived when she was 6 and didn't know her own house. she would escaper her house at night and wander the streets. she couldn't even use a stove, she would put plastic cups directly on the stove for tea. Then we put her in a home, she stopped walking, talking, barely eating. the last months my mom told me she didn't even smile anymore. She would be lucid some times and would say that it was no way to live. in the end she refused food and died days later. I can't remember how many years it took for her to die, but it's just too much
