You filthy heretic. Why would you suffer the presence of filthy aliens when you can purge them in forced labor camps before suffocating their home worlds in nuclear fire? ... lol my favorite strategy is be a pacifist xenophobe in perpetual war, to build extremely tall by continuously declaring war with my neighbors over ideology and using raiding bombardment to kidnap their populations into forced labor. When I drain an empire I settle the war and wait for them to restock their population before my next harvest. In this way eventually your entire economy becomes based on essentially using everyone else's pops as fuel to burn in your war engine. It makes you stronger and stronger while keeping everyone else weak and stagnant, while letting you have a smaller and more manageable territory that you can build better defenses for. ... oh man do i fucking love this game.

I like to play the disinterested artificial intelligence. Build tall and be lightyears ahead of everyone else. Then when the things from beyond the galaxy or the two angry old folks homes start fighting I sit back and watch as every fucker that insulted me or demanded I bend the knee scrabbles until their fingernails or whatever they have bleed against my borders as I casually use my star sized space telescope to spy on all their suffering. Great times. Looking forward to the new update that switches to 64bit. About fucking time.
